improved run of league form.
The team enjoyed an excellent
evening in the cup, defeating Finghall 171–156 in the quarter-final to book
a
place in the semi-final. Unfortunately, the cup run came to an end against
Thornton Watlass, who
secured a 153–123 victory. Reaching this stage of the
competition was still a fantastic achievement for the
club.
League performances have also
improved, with the team recording three victories from their last seven
matches.

Newton-Le-Willows Quoits Club have been asked to host the prestigious Quoits Plate Trophy final this year. This will be held on Tuesday 25th August and start time is expected to be 6-30pm. Why not come along
and enjoy the game and cheer on the teams? Newton will be providing the match referees and score
keepers.
