Aysgarth School — Chapel
& Heritage Tour
On Saturday, 12th September 2026
at 10 am,
Aysgarth School opens its doors for Heritage Open Days,
offering rare public access to our Arts and Crafts Chapel,
normally closed to visitors.
Guided by Archivist
Ted Haslam, author of Aspects of
Aysgarth, you will explore the
school's history from its
founding in 1877 near Aysgarth Falls to its current
home
at Newton-le-Willows, hearing stories of the building, the
chapel and the
generations of pupils who have passed
through its doors. Their Chapel Choir
will perform during
the tour.
The afternoon concludes with
refreshments in the
Headmaster's Study.
Entry is free. All are welcome. To attend, please register
